Even though it's a success story right up until the very end, there's a sense of uncertainty somewhere in it, which is typical of France. And the beauty of the colors, for example in the scene where Rinaldi announces his candidacy for mayor, is outstanding. It's hard to believe it was made over 50 years ago, and I enjoyed it all the way to the end.
