Before COVID-19, there were many routes that took ferries or buses via Hong Kong, but it's a distant memory and I'm not sure how to get there.

I'll take a direct flight with Air Macau, which is a simple route.

I'll get a business class award ticket with ANA miles.

You cannot book an award ticket for Air Macau online, you have to call ANA to make the reservation.

This is quite a hassle, and even when I call ANA, I can't get through.

I started calling and kept listening to the "please wait" announcement for an hour before I finally got through.

I remember that I could get through right away before COVID-19, but maybe the call center staff has been reduced or there are more users now than before COVID-19.

Anyway, I was able to make the reservation successfully.

Now it's time to depart.

This was my first time flying with Air Macau, and as expected, the aircraft is old.

The business class seats can only be reclined halfway, so I can't sleep at all.

The seat pitch is also narrow, so it feels a bit cramped from the second row onwards.

My seat happened to be in the front row, so it was nice and spacious.

By the way, Air Macau does not allow you to reserve your seat in advance, and your seat is assigned when you check in at the airport.

I was lucky enough to have an empty seat next to me on both the outbound and return flights, so I was able to relax relatively comfortably.
