WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. A random additional substat is also added to every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item level upgrade will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using a button, which displays a preview of the item when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item level upgrade and the current level of the item. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers.
