1. Engine Speed Sensor

The sensor is located at the edge of the transmission just above the flywheel ring gear the G28 Engine Speed Sensor sends signals to ECU pin T55/49 using an uncolored wire. The ECU utilizes this information to control boost and fuel. It also sends an indication to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster.

The sensor is used as a reference to correlate with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu needs to know when the crankshaft has reached TDC and also the location of the camshaft in order to activate the spark and injectors.

If this sensor fails, the ECU will throw a P00160 code which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft aren't in sync, possibly indicating chain stretch or a jumped link on the upper chain of timing. 2. Injectors

Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a significant drop in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs. Three were soaked with gazoline and the fourth was dry. I put tissue over each injector hole and when i start the engine with no sparks, the 3 with gazoline jump right out. The 4th one stays shut. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 i get zero ohm. I think the issue is somewhere else.

I also tried to reset PID but without success. The car can start when the G28 is unplugged and it runs perfectly when it is connected however it has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temperature value of -49c, even if I unplug it. Also, i noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar, whereas the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.

I don't know what to do. I think I've ruled everything else out. But i'm worried that I may have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please chime in! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump
