How to Replace an audi a1 key G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor
Located on the edge of the transmission just above the flywheel ring gear, the G28 Engine Speed Sensor sends signals to ECU pin T55/49 using the grey wire. The ECU uses this information to regulate the amount of fuel and boost. It also sends a signal to the G5 tachometer inside the instrument cluster.
The sensor is used to connect with the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu has to know when the crankshaft has reached TDC, and where the camshaft lies to trigger the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails the ECU will display an error code P00160 which indicates that the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are out of sync and possibly indicating chain stretch or a jumped link on the upper chain of timing. However, the error code won't appear on its own, without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).
It's a bit tricky to test as there are various pins on the connector, and each one has different functions. The best way to do it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read approximately 1000 ohms when the sensor is operating at its maximum. Check for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a significant decrease in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning, 3 were drenched in gasoline and the fourth was dry. When I crank the engine, there are no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline pop out, but the 4th stay closed. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 I get 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it runs fine with the G28 connected. However, the intermittent misfire problem continues to occur at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature value of -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars while the actual pressure is zero.
I don't know what to do. I think I've ruled everything else out. I'm worried that i might have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is similar to the G4 sender and works on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily find an extra in a wrecking shop or parts store. Testing them is easy to do - just put your DMM in resistance mode and take measurements between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's side up) and 2 (2nd from the left on the black connector's side). They must be infinite Ohms.
